DJIBOUTI (Dawan) – Djibouti’s Labour Minister Yonis Ali Guedi met on Tuesday with executives from the Sheraton and Kempinski Palace hotels to discuss strengthening collaboration between the government and the private sector on employment and youth skills development, according to the Djibouti News Agency (ADI).
The meetings focused on hotel recruitment needs, professional training for staff, and strategies to improve access to job opportunities for local youth.
Minister Guedi emphasized the government’s commitment to partnering with private companies to ensure that young people acquire the skills and knowledge required in the hospitality sector. He noted that these efforts are key to creating sustainable employment and fostering domestic talent.

The hotel leaders welcomed the initiative and pledged to continue regular dialogue with government authorities. They identified several areas for cooperation, including recruitment, professional training, continuing education, and integration of recently graduated youth into the workforce.
Also in attendance were the Minister’s Technical Advisor, Kadir Omar Kalinleh, and the Director General of the National Employment, Training, and Skills Integration Agency (ANEFIP), Mahamoud Omar Guelleh.
