Saudi Arabia, 26 December, 2025 The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has categorically rejected Israel’s recognition of the Somaliland as an independent state, saying the move is a blatant violation of the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
In a statement issued on Friday, the OIC said the recognition constitutes a direct infringement on Somalia’s national sovereignty, reaffirming its full solidarity with the Somali government and its unwavering support for the country’s unity and territorial integrity.
