Jordan, 27 December 2025 Jordan has reaffirmed its full support for the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia, firmly rejecting the announcement of mutual recognition between Israel and Somaliland region.
In an official statement, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates described the move as a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, and a clear infringement on Somalia’s sovereignty.
The ministry’s official spokesperson, Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali, said Jordan categorically rejects any attempts to impose parallel entities that threaten Somalia’s unity and territorial integrity.

He stressed Jordan’s continued support for Somalia’s legitimate state institutions and its commitment to preserving the country’s stability and security.
Al-Majali added that Jordan stands with the Somali people and rejects any measures that undermine Somalia’s unity or compromise its national security.
