MOGADISHU, 7 November 2026 A training session aimed at strengthening the planning capacity of Federal Member State institutions began on Saturday in Mogadishu.
The two-day training, organized by the Federal Government's Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development, runs November 7 and 8, with representatives from the country's Federal Member States in attendance.
It aims to align their development plans with Somalia's National Transformation Plan (NTP).
The training focuses on harmonizing the development plans of the Federal Government and Federal Member States while strengthening cooperation among government institutions at different levels.
It also aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of staff from Federal Member State institutions in development planning, plan preparation and monitoring.
Aligning the plans is considered important in establishing a unified national development framework that prioritizes the country's needs and supports implementation of the NTP.
