Kenya, 7 November 2026 - Sabatia MP Clement Sloya on Saturday stated that Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi is a loyal servant in President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza administration, and that the President’s two-term bid will place him in pole position in succession politics.
Sloya urged President Ruto to pass the baton to Mudavadi in 2032.
“I just have a few remarks to make. We have come here with the Prime Cabinet Secretary to show that as leaders we work together,” he said.
He said the leaders are keen to meet religious leaders, who have the potential to amplify messages to congregants and Muslim believers.
Sloya, a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) legislator, said he understands that some people are chanting one-term and two-term slogans for President Ruto, but that, on his part, the Head of State has done a marvellous job and brought development to all parts of the country.
“Here we say it is two-term to President Ruto and two-term to Sloya,” he said.
He argued that the President deserves a second term in the 2027 General Election because “we have enough evidence that a second-term is desirable for him to finish up the good development work”.

He said that in Vihiga County alone, people are seeing ongoing market construction projects across Luanda and from Mbale to Chavakali, and that affordable housing units in Vihiga are ready for occupation.
“We also see roads are being built,” he said.
Sloya stated that those projects are good and that they are “something we never saw in the previous administrations”.
“We want, when President Ruto retires in 2032, we want Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi to be the next President,” he said amid applause.
He was speaking during a religious leaders’ meeting in Nyang’ori, Vihiga County.
On the ongoing politics, in which Linda Mwananchi Movement’s Edwin Sifuna appears to be gaining ground in Western Kenya and threatening to dislodge the popularity of Mudavadi and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, the PCS was advised to remain loyal to President Ruto.
