Kenya, August 06, 2026 - Jubilee Party Deputy Leader Jeremiah Kioni has declared that Kenyans are ready for a change of government, saying growing economic hardships have fueled demand for "competent, accountable and results-driven leadership" ahead of the 2027 General Election.
In a statement posted on his official Facebook page on Thursday after touring Migori County, Kioni said the Jubilee Party was taking its message directly to wananchi as it seeks to build support for the opposition's bid to unseat President William Ruto.
"As the current regime struggles to explain rising hardships, Jubilee Party is taking the conversation to the people with a clear vision, tested leadership and practical solutions. The momentum is real, and Kenyans are ready for a new chapter," Kioni said.
He added that Kenyans across the country had embraced the party's message and were demanding a leadership focused on delivering results.
"Kenyans from every corner of our country have agreed it is time for competent, accountable and results-driven leadership," he said.

Kioni also thanked residents of Migori County for what he described as a warm reception during the party's visit, saying the growing support reflected confidence in the opposition's agenda.
"To the people of Migori County, thank you for your warm reception, your energy and your unwavering belief in a better Kenya. This is only the beginning. We will be back as we continue building a movement that belongs to the people," he said.
The Jubilee Party is among political outfits that are under the United Opposition coalition, which is positioning itself to challenge President William Ruto's re-election bid in the 2027 General Election.
