Kenya, July 13, 2026 - President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has overtaken the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to become Kenya's most popular political party, according to the latest Infotrak opinion poll, although the survey suggests the country's biggest political force may still be undecided voters.
The poll shows 29 per cent of Kenyans do not identify with any political party, while a further seven per cent declined to reveal their political preference, highlighting a sizeable bloc of voters that could shape the political landscape ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Among respondents who identified with a political party, UDA led with 22 per cent, narrowly ahead of ODM at 21 per cent.
The survey also found that the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) has quickly established itself as the country's third-largest political party, attracting nine per cent support despite being one of the newest entrants into Kenya's political arena.
Jubilee Party ranked fourth with six per cent, followed by Wiper Democratic Movement at five per cent.
Infotrak's findings point to a changing political landscape, with support for both major parties shifting significantly over the past two years. ODM, which topped the rankings with 38 per cent support in September 2024, has since dropped by 17 percentage points to 21 per cent. UDA, on the other hand, has steadily increased its support from 16 per cent in September 2024 to 22 per cent, placing it ahead of ODM in the latest survey.

The remaining support was shared among smaller parties, including FORD-Kenya, KANU, People's Democratic Party (PDP), Party of National Unity (PNU), Maendeleo Chap Chap, People's Liberation Party (PLP), Thirdway Alliance Kenya, United Green Movement and several others.
Despite UDA's lead, the survey suggests the electorate remains highly fluid, with more than a third of respondents either unaffiliated or unwilling to disclose their political preference. The findings indicate that political parties still have significant room to expand their support base as coalition talks and political realignments gather pace ahead of the next General Election.
The nationally representative survey was conducted by Infotrak Research and Consulting between 22 and 26 June 2026 using a combination of face-to-face and telephone interviews. A total of 3,000 adults from all 47 counties participated in the poll, which has a margin of error of plus or minus 1.79 percentage points at a 95 per cent confidence level and recorded a 99 per cent response rate.
