Sudan, 27 December 2025 The Republic of Sudan has expressed its outright rejection of Israel’s recognition of the Somaliland region, saying the move is a violation of international conventions and a dangerous precedent that threatens the stability and security of the entire region.
In a press statement issued on Saturday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s Office of the Official Spokesperson and Media Department, Sudan said the recognition undermines the principles of international law and poses a direct threat to regional and international peace and security.

The statement reaffirmed Sudan’s full solidarity with the Somali people and confirmed Khartoum’s firm support for the unity and sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia over all its internationally recognized territory and borders.
