Baidoa (Dawan Africa) South West State imposed an overnight curfew in Baidoa to restrict the movement of armed people and safeguard election security and civilians, South West State Security Minister Mohamed Hussein Hassan ‘John’ said.
John said the curfew is part of efforts to secure the upcoming elections, and ordered government officials, international agencies, and private security firms to register all weapons.
In addition, the administration announced that starting June 2, inspections of residential properties will be conducted as part of security measures to prevent any disruption to the electoral process.
