Kenya, 9 July 2026 - Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi has completed one of the most remarkable political transformations in Kenya's recent history, moving from being one of President William Ruto's fiercest critics to becoming one of the administration's most trusted figures.
The shift was unmistakably captured when President Ruto publicly showered Mbadi with praise, declaring: "When I write my book, John Mbadi will have ample space in it."
