Ethiopia, 12 June 2026 – Ethiopia’s National Election Board said results from 1,131 of 1,139 election constituencies had reached its verification centre, as the country continues the process of confirming vote outcomes.
Election board chairperson Melatwork Hailu said on Thursday that results from 497 of 501 House of Peoples’ Representative constituencies had been received at the verification centre.
She said results had also arrived from 634 of 638 regional council constituencies.
In total, the board has received results from 1,131 constituencies out of 1,139, Melatwork said in a statement.

The figures indicate that results from eight constituencies had not yet reached the verification centre.
The board did not immediately say when the remaining constituency results would be submitted or when the verification process would be completed.
The results will undergo verification before final outcomes are announced by the election board.
