Somalia, 10 December 2025 – One hundred and forty-eight Somali nationals were on Tuesday repatriated from Yemen as part of ongoing efforts to aid those stranded in conflict-affected countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in coordination with international agencies, organized the repatriation in response to urgent appeals for help from citizens stranded abroad.
Upon arrival the group received emergency assistance, mainly food and medical aid, to enable them return safely and reintegrate into their communities.

Officials noted that similar repatriation missions have been carried out in recent months, highlighting the government’s continued efforts to bring back citizens stranded in Yemen.
The Somali government has reiterated its commitment to facilitating the safe return of its nationals and supporting their reintegration.
