Somalia, 6 April 2026 Somalia’s electoral commission has delivered voter registration materials in Galkayo, Mudug region’s capital, as preparations intensify for the upcoming local council elections.
The commission's officials said the materials are part of the ongoing plan to implement one-person one-vote elections in the federal member states. They noted that the voter cards are intended for residents of Galkayo and other areas of Mudug to enable them participate in the electoral process.
