The FSRP is a regional programme supported by the World Bank, designed to increase the resilience of food systems and improve preparedness for challenges related to food insecurity, droughts, climate change and other shocks affecting agricultural production.
The World Bank’s procurement plan indicates that the construction of the building was estimated at US$1.4 million, with financing provided through IDA, a member of the World Bank Group.
The inauguration of the new building is also seen as an important step in rebuilding government institutions and strengthening the Ministry’s capacity in planning, monitoring and implementing policies aimed at advancing agriculture and irrigation development across Somalia.
