June 13, 2026 - The Horn of Africa Gateway Development Project continues to make significant progress, with the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) and the World Bank undertaking a joint inspection of ongoing works along the Isiolo–Kulamawe and Kulamawe–Modogashe sections to assess implementation milestones and project delivery.
The inspection, led by KeNHA Director of Development Eng. Henry Gakuru and World Bank mission leader Qimiao Fan, assessed progress on road construction and fibre optic infrastructure installation. The project is currently 52% complete.
