Djibouti, May 6, 2026 — Djibouti has launched a national business complaints center as part of broader government efforts to protect consumers, strengthen market oversight and support purchasing power, officials said on Wednesday.
Trade and Tourism Minister Mohamed Warsame Diiriye inaugurated the new center, which will receive complaints and inquiries related to commercial practices across the country.
The initiative includes a toll-free hotline, “20 20”, allowing citizens to report alleged business violations directly to authorities.
Officials said the center is designed to improve transparency and accelerate government responses to complaints involving trade and consumer protection.
