The talks focused on developing security and military cooperation between Djibouti and the EU, regional and global developments, and joint efforts to strengthen peace and stability.
Both sides described the talks as in-depth, stressing the importance they attach to their relationship and to continued cooperation.
The meeting comes as the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait grow in importance for maritime security, global trade and regional stability. In recent years, Djibouti has built significant diplomatic and security ties with a range of world powers.
