DJIBOUTI, 23 August 2026 - Djibouti and Egypt discussed Red Sea security and regional developments during a phone call on Saturday, officials said.
Djibouti's Foreign Minister Abdoulkader Houssein Omar spoke with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty to review bilateral relations and regional issues.
The two ministers discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and reviewed developments in the Arab and African regions, with a focus on the Red Sea, a strategic waterway for both countries.
They stressed the need for continued coordination and regular consultations to bolster security and stability amid political and security challenges in the region.
