MOGADISHU, 28 Oct — Asal Hair Clinic, a healthcare centre based in Mogadishu, has been awarded the international ISO 9001:2015 certification, the global standard for Quality Management Systems.
The certification was issued by QRO Certification LLP, headquartered in New Delhi, India, following an independent assessment of the clinic’s management system and services.
The certificate was issued on 23 October 2026 and will remain valid until 22 October 2029. To maintain the certification, the clinic will undergo annual surveillance audits scheduled for October 2027 and October 2028.
More from Somalia
Founded in 2022, Asal Hair Clinic currently employs 15 staff, including doctors and other skilled professionals. The clinic specialises in hair and skin treatments and offers services including hair restoration and transplantation, dermatology, and vitamin infusion therapy.
“When we opened Asal in 2022, our goal was for every Somali patient to receive care they can trust here at home, without needing to travel abroad. This certification is not where we stop; it is a step that strengthens our commitment to quality that is consistent, measurable, and aligned with international standards,” said Dr. Bahja Abdirizak Elmi, Chief Operations Officer of Asal Hair & Skin Clinic.
ISO 9001 is an international standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization. It confirms that an organisation has a structured management system that ensures services are delivered consistently — through documented procedures, systematic record-keeping, attention to customer feedback, and continuous improvement.
