Ethiopia, 5 November 2025 – New houses for low income families were today inaugurated in Somali Regional State as part of efforts improve access to shelter through public-private partnerships.
The houses, constructed by Expressway Company, were handed over to families in the villages of Biyodiidley and Dawanle in Ayesha District.
The benefactors expressed gratitude to Expressway and the administration for supporting vulnerable groups.

Expressway also donated 100 classroom chairs each to Harmukale and Biyo-qaboobe schools, to help improve quality of education in poor communities.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, the company’s General Manager, Rooble Ali Khareed, said the initiative reflects the firm’s commitment to supporting community welfare, building homes for low-income families, and advancing education alongside its commercial operations.
The project forms part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, which focuses on community development, education, and support for vulnerable populations in areas where the company operates.
