Kenya, 11 May 2026 - The Supreme Court has launched the 2025 yearbook, an annual publication that outlines key developments and landmark rulings at the apex court.
The launch was overseen by all Supreme Court judges, including Chief Justice Martha Koome, Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu, Justices Mohamed Warsame, Isaac Lenaola, Smokin Wanjala, and William Ouko, on Monday.
The Supreme Court Yearbooks provide a comprehensive overview of the court's operations, legal evolution, and impact since its inception under the 2010 Constitution.
The judiciary said that the 2025 yearbook specifically captures landmark and notable decisions made by the apex court, highlighting its role in shaping the country’s judiciary system.
The publication also includes administrative achievements within the Supreme Court, corporate social responsibility initiatives, mentorship programmes, and town hall engagements, which are aimed at strengthening public engagement with the judiciary.
Furthermore, the yearbook contains some frequently asked questions and other developments that provide insight into the operations of the court.
Among key highlights of the 2025 yearbook are the petitions involving Dr. Owiso Owiso & 2 Others, Insurance Training & Education Trust, and various others regarding land, employment, and constitutional interpretation.

The latest publication is also expected to highlight the death of Justice Mohammed Ibrahim in December 2025.
The yearbook, as well as past other publications, can be accessed through the official Supreme Court of Kenya Website.
“The Yearbook highlights landmark and notable decisions of the Court, administrative milestones, CSR initiatives, mentorship and town hall engagements, FAQs, and other key developments shaping the Supreme Court’s work and jurisprudence,” the court stated.
The announcement comes barely a week after Justice Mohammed Abdullahi Warsame was officially sworn in as a Supreme Court Judge by President William Ruto on Thursday, 7 May 2026.
The Head of State, who formally appointed Warsame through a gazette notice on Tuesday, 5 May 2026, is optimistic that Warsame’s vast experience in the judiciary’s ecosystem will be fundamental in making a positive impact on the country’s apex Court.
“You have my full support and prayers as you begin this important chapter of service to our nation,” said Ruto
