15 December 2025 - Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has hit back at critics from the North Eastern region, saying his rise in leadership is anchored on his fear of God.
Speaking at Habaswein during the homecoming ceremony of Mohamed Aden Abdi, a commissioner at the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC), CS Duale said President William Ruto has brought different political parties into his government including the Orange Democratic movement (ODM) with the intention of uniting the country.
He dismissed critics of the broad-based government as jealous people.
The vocal former Garissa Township lawmaker said there are many youths and people from the region who have top government jobs including various independent commissions.
He took the example of SRC commissioner and former Wajir woman Representative Fatuma Gedi who is currently serving as commissioner for Commission for Revenue Allocation (CRA).
Duale said Ruto’s administration has restored dignity and honour to people of the region adding that President Ruto means well for the country.
“There are people who are jealous, when your brother has a better seat you need to be proud of him, you need to stop being jealous, getting a position of leadership comes from God,” he told the crowd at Habaswein.
