SOMALIA (Dawan Africa) —
Somaliland has established a technical committee to explore options for securing cheaper fuel for industrial use, state media reported on Tuesday.
The move followed a meeting at the Ministry of Trade involving officials from the ministries of trade, energy and minerals, alongside representatives of electricity providers and fuel importers, the report said.

The meeting was chaired by Trade Minister Abdirahman Hassan Nur and attended by the deputy minister and other officials.
Participants discussed ways to enable electricity firms, manufacturing industries and water agencies to access lower-cost fuel in a bid to cut operating expenses.
Authorities agreed to form a technical committee to advance proposals and identify practical solutions to improve fuel affordability, according to state media.
