Mogadishu, 3 November 2026 – Somalia's Tabaarak ICT Solutions has won the Service of the Year award at the East African Community (EAC) Regional Quality Awards 2026, held in Kigali, Rwanda.
Tabaarak ICT, which represented Somalia in the competition, came out ahead of other companies from across EAC member states.
The company had earlier won the 2026 National Quality Award, which qualified it to represent Somalia in the Kigali competition. The national award was presented at a ceremony called “Quality Night”, organised by the Somali Bureau of Standards on 8 October. The ceremony honoured government institutions and private companies that demonstrated high standards of quality this year.
The EAC Regional Quality Awards are designed to promote a culture of quality across the region by encouraging companies to adopt quality standards and management practices. Companies are assessed against the quality management principles of the international ISO 9001 standard, which include customer focus, leadership, engagement of people and continuous improvement.
