Mogadishu, (Dawan) — Somalia's Attorney General’s Office said it is investigating an abuse incident in Mogadishu involving girl after video circulated on social media, warning those involved would be arrested and prosecuted.
The office said the incident undermined the dignity, culture and moral values of Somali society.
In a statement, the Attorney General’s office accused the young men captured on video of violating the victims rights and spreading the images on social media.

The Attorney General’s Office said firm action will be taken against anyone found to have been involved in the incident, or participated in spreading indecent material on social media.
The office also instructed security agencies to seek and arrest all those involved in the incident.
The statement urged Somali youth to avoid acts that violate personal dignity and moral values of society.
