Mogadishu, 22 September 2026 Somalia's government on Monday announced plans to hold the 2026 Somalia Tourism and Investment Fair as part of events marking World Tourism Day on Sept. 27.
Information, Culture and Tourism Minister Abdifatah Qasim Mohamud said the fair would showcase the country's tourist destinations, natural attractions, cultural heritage and investment opportunities.
The event is expected to bring together government institutions, businesses, investors, tourism companies, hotels, service providers, entrepreneurs and civil society organisations.

The government said the fair was intended to foster new partnerships, encourage investment and connect businesses with other stakeholders involved in developing Somalia's tourism sector.
Exhibitions, competitions and awards are also planned to promote innovation, service quality and community participation.
