Somalia, 29 April 2026 — Authorities in Somalia’s North East State said they will take legal action, including arrest and suspension, against unlicensed doctors who fail to submit their credentials to the health ministry by the May 3 deadline, according to a police statement issued Tuesday.
The warning follows an earlier directive from the health ministry requiring all medical practitioners operating in the region to register before the deadline.
