23 December 2025 - Napoli were crowned Italian Super Cup champions, securing a 2–0 victory over Bologna in the Supercoppa Italiana final held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Monday. Brazilian winger David Neres scored both goals to lead the reigning Serie A champions to their third Super Cup title.
The decisive encounter, played at the King Saud University Stadium, saw Napoli dominate much of the match. Neres opened the scoring in the 39th minute with a stunning curling effort from outside the box that beat Bologna goalkeeper Federico Ravaglia and gave the Partenopei the lead going into half-time.
Napoli extended their advantage early in the second half, with Neres again on the scoresheet. In the 57th minute, he capitalised on a misplaced pass from Ravaglia, dispossessing defender John Lucumí and deftly chipping the ball over the stranded keeper to make it 2–0.
The Brazilian’s brace marked his second multi-goal match for Napoli since joining from Benfica in August 2024, and highlighted his status as a key attacking figure under manager Antonio Conte.

Throughout the game, Napoli’s attacking threat was evident. They created several chances, with Eljif Elmas and Scott McTominay calling Bologna into action, while the visitors struggled to convert rare opportunities into real danger. Bologna had a few moments of promise, but were unable to penetrate Napoli’s compact defensive shape.
The win earns Napoli it’s third Supercoppa Italiana crown, their first since 2014, and reinforces their standing among Italy’s elite. The victory also adds valuable silverware to what has been a successful period for the club, having already clinched the Serie A title and demonstrated strong form in other competitions.
For Bologna, who reached their first Super Cup final after edging Inter Milan on penalties in the semifinal, the defeat was a disappointing end to an otherwise notable cup run.
