Somalia, 3 May 2026 – Opposition politicians in Mogadishu have launched Hiil Shacab digital platform to collect complaints on injustice, land and displacement.
A message circulated by the politicians called on citizens to register by providing their full names, districts of origin and the type of complaint they wish to submit.
They urged the public to report land grabs, displacement, injustice, unfair treatment and other illegal acts that infringe on their right.

The politicians said the platform is designed to amplify “the united voice of the oppressed and those defending them,” urging citizens with complaints to add their voices to the campaign.
The move comes at a time when political debate in Mogadishu has intensified over elections and the wider political dispute between the Federal Government and opposition figures.
The latest move comes after President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud invited opposition figures for talks on sticky issues around elections and the constitution.
