UK, 7 November 2026 - Manchester City on Saturday suffered their third consecutive loss in the Premier League after Nottingham Forest beat them 3-1 at The City Ground in Nottingham.
The defeat follows a 0-1 loss to Brighton on 31 October 2026 and a 1-2 loss to Aston Villa on 24 October 2026.
In the match against Forest, Manchester City were trailing 0-2 within the first 20 minutes. Jair Cunha opened the scoring in the 6th minute and Liam Delap extended the lead in the 18th minute.
Ryan Cherki pulled one back for coach Enzo Maresca’s side before Delap got on the scoresheet again 11 minutes later to hand the hosts victory.
The win has catapulted Forest to 16th place.
Arsenal had earlier extended the gap on second-placed Manchester City after The Gunners bagged all three crucial points against Hull City. Hosts Arsenal had difficulty breaking through the Hull City defence, especially in the first half.
Captain Martin Odegaard would, however, find the back of the net in the 72nd minute to give Mikel Arteta much joy as the team continues its near-perfect defence of the Premier League title.
