UK, 7 November 2026 - Arsenal on Saturday extended the gap on second-placed Manchester City after The Gunners bagged all three crucial points against Hull City.
Hosts Arsenal had difficulty breaking through the Hull City defence, especially in the first half.
Captain Martin Odegaard would, however, find the back of the net in the 72nd minute to give Mikel Arteta much joy as the team continues its near-perfect defence of the Premier League title.
Currently, Arsenal top the EPL table with 27 points after 10 matches.
Manchester City are second with 21 points, while Brighton (19 points) and Chelsea (16 points) complete the top four.
Everton, who beat Coventry 3-1 on Friday, are fifth with 16 points.
Liverpool sit sixth with 15 points, followed by Brentford and Leeds United, both on 14 points. Ninth to 12th positions are occupied by teams on 12 points each: Bournemouth, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Aston Villa.
Hull City are 13th with 11 points, followed by Ipswich Town on the same tally. Fifteenth-placed Fulham have 10 points, one more than 16th-placed Coventry.
Manchester United are 17th with just seven points, the same as Crystal Palace, who sit third from bottom, one point more than second-last Nottingham Forest. Sunderland are last with only five points after nine matches.
Martin Odegaard’s 72nd-minute goal sees Arsenal beat Hull City and move six points clear.
