Kenya, 10 December 2025 - Liquid Intelligent Technologies has confirmed Neeraj Pradhan as the CEO of its Kenyan operations, formalising a leadership transition that signals the company’s strategic continuity in one of its most important regional markets.
Pradhan, who has served as Acting CEO since March, steps into the role with immediate effect.
The appointment caps nearly a decade of service at the company, during which Pradhan has held several senior leadership roles, including General Manager of Sales. His rise through the ranks is seen internally as a testament to his operational knowledge, commercial expertise and familiarity with the region’s evolving digital landscape.
Announcing the confirmation, Wellington Makamure, Cassava Technologies’ CEO for Sub-Saharan Africa (excluding South Africa), highlighted Pradhan’s “deep regional insight and strong commercial acumen,” positioning him as the right leader to steer Liquid Kenya through a highly competitive and fast-changing market environment.
Pradhan assumes the role at a pivotal moment for Kenya’s technology sector.
The country is intensifying its national digital transformation agenda, driven by demand for high-capacity connectivity, cloud computing, data centre services and cybersecurity solutions. This environment presents both significant opportunities and heightened competition as enterprises, government agencies and consumers accelerate their shift to digital platforms.
Liquid, a business of Cassava Technologies, has been expanding its fibre footprint, cloud offerings and data services in response.
The company is also investing in emerging technology solutions, including GPU-as-a-Service, which is expected to support artificial intelligence workloads across enterprises and public institutions. These investments align with a broader continental trend in which infrastructure providers are racing to build capacity to meet the demands of AI adoption, hyper-scale cloud expansion and increased data localisation requirements.
More from Kenya
Pradhan’s mandate will therefore encompass strengthening Liquid’s competitive position in Kenya while deepening partnerships with enterprise clients, government organisations and industry stakeholders.
In his remarks, he expressed optimism about the company’s growth trajectory, noting his intention to build on existing momentum and enhance customer engagement.
Liquid operates one of Africa’s most extensive fibre networks and delivers digital services in more than 40 markets across Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. Its Kenyan business has long been considered a strategic node within this network, serving as a gateway for regional traffic and a hub for enterprise connectivity.
With Pradhan now confirmed at the helm, industry observers will be watching how the company navigates intensifying competition from global cloud providers, local data centre operators and emerging digital infrastructure players.
His leadership is expected to play a key role in guiding Liquid through what is shaping up to be one of the most transformative periods in East Africa’s digital economy.
