Four people were killed and six others injured in a multi-vehicle road accident in Gabiley, Somaliland, regional authorities said on Saturday.
The crash involved four vehicles, including a passenger vehicle, Gabiley Governor Mohamoud Hassan Sa’ad and Somaliland road safety commander Mohamed Ighe said.
The accident occurred on a straight and well-maintained stretch of road, the officials said.
Ighe attributed the crash to reckless driving and excessive speed, urging motorists to exercise caution.

“This was not caused by road conditions, but by poor driving and speeding,” he said.
Governor Sa’ad expressed condolences to the families of those killed and called for the introduction of speed limits to help prevent similar incidents.
Traffic police are investigating the crash, Ighe said.
Road accidents are a recurring issue in the region, often linked to speeding and driver negligence.
