Djibouti, 3 July 2026 – Djibouti’s labour and education ministries signed a partnership to boost youth jobs, Djiboutian News Agency (ADI) said.
The agreement, signed on Thursday, brings together the Centre for National Education Training (CFEN), the National Agency for Employment, Training and Vocational Placement (ANEFIP), and the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP).
The partnership aims to strengthen coordination among the three institutions to better align training systems with labour market demands and improve employment opportunities for young graduates.
The signing ceremony was attended by Labour Minister Yonis Ali Guedi and Education Minister Moustapha Mohamed Mahamoud, alongside senior officials from both ministries and related institutions.
The agreement includes cooperation on developing training programmes, expanding continuing education, facilitating internships and strengthening professional skills within public administration.

Yonis said the partnership forms part of Djibouti’s broader strategy to strengthen human capital development and improve job placement for young people.
He said closer coordination between training institutions and employers would help create more opportunities for young Djiboutians entering the labour market.
Moustapha said the agreement reflected the government’s commitment to narrowing the disconnect between training and employment.
The move comes as Djibouti continues efforts to strengthen workforce skills and improve employment opportunities as part of broader economic and labour market reforms.
