DJIBOUTI, September 12, 2026 The Djiboutian Football Federation (FDF) has completed its annual training course for 25 elite football referees, organised with the support of FIFA and led by international instructors, Djibouti News Agency reported on Friday.
The five-day programme brought together referees selected from among the best officials in Djibouti's national championship. It focused on improving their technical skills and deepening their understanding of the Laws of the Game, according to the report.
The FDF organises the training annually as part of a continuing professional development programme for active elite referees, with the aim of maintaining Djiboutian refereeing at FIFA international standards.
The course combined theoretical instruction with practical exercises, with particular emphasis on rigor, impartiality and managing high-pressure situations.

The closing ceremony was attended by doctoral candidate Radwan Issa Sougueh, a member of the FDF Steering Committee and president of its Communication and Marketing Commission.
Sougueh praised the referees' commitment and stressed the importance of continued training to improve the quality of national refereeing, the report said.
The FDF also renewed its partnership with FIFA on continuing referee training, reaffirming its commitment to the development and credibility of Djiboutian football, according to the agency.
