Djibouti (Dawan Africa) – Abdoulkader Mohamed has been reappointed as Djibouti's Prime Minister, five days after President Ismail Omar Guelleh’s inauguration.
According to Djibouti’s state news agency, ADI, Mohamed thanked President Guelleh for reappointing him to serve in his government.
The Prime Minister said the world is passing through a critical period, adding that stability, unity and a clear vision are important for the country’s development.
“Our country is moving forward because it knows where it is going,” Mohamed said, adding that Djibouti is built on safeguarding its sovereignty, dignity and national destiny.

The Prime Minister said the new government would continue efforts to strengthen the country’s development, protect national unity, support young people, assist vulnerable communities and prepare the country’s future.
Mohamed is the sixth Prime Minister of Djibouti since the country gained independence in 1977. He has been appointed to the post five times, starting from 2013.
His reappointment came after President Guelleh began a new term following the presidential election held on April 10.
