Djibouti (Dawan Africa) – Djibouti’s National Social Security Fund (CNSS) launched a pilot initiative, “Grow Freely,” to enhance care for 169 children living with diabetes, Djibouti News Agency reported.
Participating children received continuous glucose monitoring devices (CGM), allowing real-time blood sugar monitoring 24 hours a day without the need for frequent injections.
CNSS emphasized that the initiative aims to provide children greater autonomy in managing their daily diabetes care, while alleviating mental stress and financial burden on parents. The project is also part of wider efforts to modernize healthcare services and improve coverage for insured individuals.
