Somalia, 15 June 2026 – Somalia’s Agriculture Ministry said on Sunday it received office equipment from the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, TIKA, to modernize its operations.
Agriculture Minister Mohamed Abdi Hayi ‘Mareye’, received the equipment in Mogadishu from TIKA’s head in Somalia, Zafer Eski, the ministry said in a statement.
The donation will be used to equip the ministry’s new building, according to the statement.

The ministry said the equipment was intended to improve administrative efficiency, speed up service delivery and support its development plans in the agriculture sector.
It said the donation followed a request made by the minister to TIKA President Abdullah Eren during a meeting in Ankara on Nov. 26, 2025.
The ministry thanked the Turkish government and TIKA for continued support for Somalia’s public institutions.
