Hargeisa, 18 September 2026 Somaliland's opposition KAAH party on Friday condemned what it described as repeated attacks by Yemen's Houthi movement against Saudi Arabia and expressed solidarity with the kingdom.
The party said in a statement that the attacks threatened Saudi Arabia's security and stability and endangered civilian lives and critical infrastructure.
KAAH said it supported Saudi Arabia's right to protect its sovereignty, defend its territory and safeguard its citizens and other residents in accordance with international law.
The party also called for Islam's holy sites and the safety of Muslim pilgrims performing the Hajj and Umrah to be kept away from political disputes and armed conflict.

The statement warned against what the party described as growing Iranian influence and Tehran's support for armed groups in the region.
KAAH said regional conflicts also posed risks to strategic maritime trade routes, including the Red Sea, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, the Gulf of Aden and the Strait of Hormuz.
The party called for stronger regional and international cooperation, respect for state sovereignty and protection of freedom of navigation.
