Somalia, 3 December 2025 – Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Wednesday accepted the credentials of eight newly appointed ambassadors during a ceremony at the presidential palace in Mogadishu.The diplomats represent Egypt, Indonesia, Sweden, Cuba, Finland, Norway, Canada and Spain. According to the presidency, the envoys delivered messages from their governments as they formally assumed their duties in Mogadishu.President Mohamud told the ambassadors that Somalia seeks to advance bilateral cooperation with the eight countries.The ceremony included a guard of honour from the Somali security forces, the presidency said.
