Kenya, 2 January 2026 - A building under construction collapsed early on Friday in the Shopping Centre area of South C, Nairobi County, Kenya Red Cross has confirmed.
The Kenya Red Cross Society confirmed the incident occurred in the early hours and issued a statement.
“Early this morning, a building under construction collapsed in the Shopping Centre area of South C, Nairobi County. A multi-agency response team is on site managing the situation,” KRCS said on social media platform X.
A joint emergency team from various agencies has arrived at the scene to handle the response.
No information is currently available regarding casualties, injuries, or anyone potentially trapped in the debris.
