Kenya, July 14, 2026 - Newly transferred Ligisa Secondary School Senior Principal Albert Aluoch Kalal has pledged to replicate the remarkable academic turnaround that made him one of the most admired school heads in Awendo Constituency, promising to steer his new institution to greater heights through discipline, teamwork and academic excellence.
Mr Aluoch, who has officially reported to Ligisa Secondary School after serving at St Joseph's Kamyawa Mixed Secondary School in West Sakwa, Dede Village, said his transfer was a call to serve wherever the Teachers Service Commission deploys him.
During his tenure at Kamyawa, the veteran educationist presided over an impressive academic transformation, raising the school's KCSE mean score from about 4.0 to 5.6 and then 6.0, a feat that earned him widespread admiration from parents, teachers and the local community.
Speaking after assuming an office at Ligisa, Mr Aluoch said he was determined to build on the school's strengths and work closely with teachers, parents, learners and the Board of Management to improve performance.
"Every school has enormous potential when teachers, parents and students pull in the same direction. I have come to Ligisa with an open mind, ready to listen, learn and work with every stakeholder. Together, we shall build a disciplined academic culture that rewards hard work and excellence," he said.
"My philosophy has always been simple: discipline, commitment and teamwork produce results. Academic success is never an accident. It comes from proper planning, effective teaching and continuous mentoring of learners. I believe Ligisa has what it takes to become one of the best-performing schools in the region."
"This transfer is not a setback but a call to national duty. Wherever I am posted, I give my best because every Kenyan child deserves quality education. I remain committed to nurturing learners academically, morally and socially while creating an environment where teachers are motivated to perform." He explained
Known for his humility, firm but fair leadership and commitment to excellence, Mr Aluoch has built a reputation as a highly practical Mathematics and Chemistry teacher whose students consistently excel in the two subjects. Colleagues describe him as a hands-on administrator who combines sound management skills with effective classroom instruction.

His departure from Kamyawa has, however, left many residents heartbroken.
Parents and community leaders openly expressed disappointment over the transfer, saying the principal had restored confidence in the school through improved discipline, stronger academic programmes and closer engagement with stakeholders.
Board of Management Chairman Mr George Opiyo described Mr Aluoch as an exceptional leader whose impact would be remembered for many years.
Mr Opiyo told the press that,"Principal Aluoch performed wonders at Kamyawa. When he arrived, many people had little confidence in the school's future, but through determination, teamwork and visionary leadership, he transformed it into a respected learning institution with steadily improving academic results."
Mr Opiyo asserted:
"We are grateful for his service and wish him success at Ligisa. At the same time, we appeal to the Teachers Service Commission to deploy another principal of similar calibre because replacing a leader of his experience and dedication will not be easy. Kamyawa will truly miss him."
Several residents echoed the chairman's sentiments, urging the Teachers Service Commission to ensure the school receives an equally competent replacement to sustain the gains made under Mr Aluoch's leadership.
Even as Kamyawa bids farewell to one of its most successful principals, expectations are already high at Ligisa Secondary School, where students, teachers and parents hope the seasoned educationist will once again demonstrate the transformational leadership that has become his hallmark.
