MOGADISHU, 1 November 2026 Premier Bank's Acting Chairman and Head of Business Abdishakur Afrah and HALMEEL's Director General Mohamed Dubo have discussed the role the bank could play at the centre.
The meeting took place on Saturday at HALMEEL's headquarters, where a Premier Bank delegation led by Afrah visited the centre and met with Dubo.
The two sides discussed how the bank could take part in HALMEEL's unified service delivery system and how its financial services could be integrated into the centre's system.
HALMEEL is a unified centre where Somali citizens can access a range of government services in one place. The centre aims to make services easier to access and to save the public time and money.
The goal of the integration is for citizens to access both the government services they need and financial services in one place.
The meeting also covered strengthening cooperation between the two institutions and developing financial services in the country.
Premier Bank commended HALMEEL's efforts to unify and simplify services. The bank said it hopes its participation in the centre would create new opportunities to improve access to modern financial services.
