U.K June 18, 2026 - Liverpool's pursuit of one of world football's most exciting young talents has hit a major obstacle after RB Leipzig reportedly rejected an offer worth close to €100 million for highly-rated winger Yan Diomande.
The 19-year-old Ivory Coast international has emerged as Liverpool's top attacking target this summer following a breakout campaign in Germany and an impressive start to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. However, Leipzig's refusal to sanction a deal underlines just how highly they value the teenager.
Reports throughout the week have indicated that Liverpool are leading the race for Diomande's signature and have intensified negotiations with both the player and RB Leipzig.
