Kenya, 3 April 2026 - The widow of the late Emurua Dikirr MP, Johana Ng’eno, Ms Naiyanoi Ntutu, has been appointed as a Member of the Board of the Information and Communications Technology Authority (ICTA).
In a gazette notice numbered 4807, the Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, William Kabogo, announced that Ms Ntutu will serve for a period of three years with effect from 2 April 2026.
While making the appointment, CS Kabogo cited Section 6(2)(e) of the Information and Communications Technology Authority Order, 2013.
The ICT Authority rationalises and streamlines the management of all Government of Kenya ICT functions.
It serves as the central body responsible for coordinating, standardising, and driving the effective use of information and communication technology across the public service.
Among its key mandates are to set and enforce ICT standards and guidelines for human resources, infrastructure, processes, systems, and technology in government ministries, counties, and agencies.
The Authority also facilitates and regulates the design, implementation, and use of ICTs in the public service, and promotes e-Government services to improve public service delivery through digital platforms.
