Mogadishu, 14 September 2026 The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced on Sunday a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Fahad Mohamed Nur, who is wanted by U.S. authorities.
The FBI said Fahad Mohamed Nur, also known by aliases including Nur Abdiwali Hassan and Abdiwali Nur Hassan, is a naturalized U.S. citizen with ties to Somalia and may currently be located in Somalia.
According to the FBI, Fahad is accused of involvement in a fraud scheme that misused funds from the U.S. Federal Child Nutrition Program during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The agency said individuals involved in the case allegedly obtained, diverted and laundered millions of dollars intended to provide meals for children in need.

The FBI alleged that Fahad Mohamed Nur was the owner of a food supply company that received more than $5 million from the programme, and that he submitted false documents and invoices for meals that were not provided.
The U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota issued a warrant for Fahad Mohamed Nur’s arrest on September 13, 2022, after he was charged with offences including wire fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering and money laundering.
The FBI urged anyone with information about Fahad Mohamed Nur’s whereabouts to contact the agency’s tip line or FBI offices in the United States and abroad.
