Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has congratulated Rwandan President Paul Kagame and the RPF party on their recent victory in Rwanda's national elections. Museveni praised Kagame's leadership and the trust the Rwandan people have placed in him, recognizing Rwanda as a strategic ally with a shared vision of peace and prosperity.
"I look forward to collaborating with you for the benefit of our nations and the East African Community," Museveni stated.
Similarly, Kenyan President William Samoei Ruto also extended her warmest congratulations to Kagame. "On behalf of the people and Government of Kenya, I have the pleasure to convey my warmest congratulations upon your re-election to serve a further term as President of the Republic of Rwanda. We celebrate with you the sovereign choice of the people of Rwanda and wish you success as you continue steering your country in the path of peace, stability, and prosperity. I look forward to continuing working with you in regional and Pan-African affairs to strengthen the bonds of solidarity and fraternity between the peoples of Kenya and Rwanda".
President Kagame, who has been in office since 1994, embarks on his fourth term. While his supporters praise his leadership and achievements, critics label him a dictator and view the election results with skepticism.
