Kenya, 12 January 2026 - American YouTube star iShowSpeed has taken his Kenyan tour from the noise and excitement of the city to the quiet vastness of the savannah, streaming live from the Maasai Mara in a broadcast that quickly drew hundreds of thousands of viewers worldwide.
Going live shortly after arriving at the iconic reserve, the energetic creator told his audience to expect a very different pace from his earlier Nairobi streams.
“This stream will be way slower compared to the other, which was full of rush. We are out in the wild,” Speed said, smiling as the safari vehicle rolled through the open plains.
Accompanied by a local tour team, iShowSpeed opened the stream by sharing his excitement at being surrounded by wildlife.
“Chat, we are here in the safari wildlife in Kenya and guess what I am looking at right now?” he said, moments before pointing out animals in the distance.
He explained that the day would blend safari experiences with cultural interaction, adding: “We will be doing safari activities and tribe as well. After the safari, we will be linking up with the Maasai and engage in lots of activities with them.”

Throughout the broadcast, viewers watched his real-time reactions to elephants, giraffes and a pride of lions resting beneath an acacia tree. At one point, clearly overwhelmed by the proximity to the animals, he told his audience: “This is crazy. I’ve never seen anything like this.”
Tour guides accompanying the streamer could be heard explaining animal behaviour and safety measures, while thousands of comments flooded the live chat as fans reacted alongside him.
The Mara stream marked a sharp contrast to iShowSpeed’s recent appearance in Nairobi’s Central Business District, where an impromptu stop triggered massive crowds, traffic disruption and fans racing through streets to catch a glimpse of the YouTuber.
His Kenyan visit has highlighted the growing interest among global digital creators in the country, using their vast online platforms to showcase both urban energy and natural heritage.
With more than 47.9 million subscribers on YouTube, iShowSpeed’s live safari broadcast ranks among the most-watched creator streams from the Maasai Mara in recent months, offering millions of viewers around the world a slower, more intimate look at Kenya’s wildlife and culture.
