DJIBOUTI, Aug. 11, 2026 – Djibouti's National Office of Water and Sanitation (ONEAD) has signed a partnership agreement with French engineering company SOC to train staff, state news agency ADI reported on Monday.
The agreement was signed by ONEAD Director General Mohamed Fouad Abdo and SOC President Benoît Poinsot.
Under the agreement, SOC will support ONEAD technicians in several areas related to the management of water networks and sanitation infrastructure, the report said.

The partnership will focus on developing the professional skills of ONEAD staff involved in the distribution of drinking water and the treatment of wastewater, according to ADI.
The two organisations also aim to promote the exchange of technical knowledge to strengthen the skills needed to operate and maintain water and sanitation infrastructure.
ADI did not provide details on the financial value or duration of the agreement.
