Djibouti, 29 October 2025 - The Government of Djibouti has strongly condemned the “grave violations” against civilians in the ongoing war in Sudan, calling for intensified regional efforts to broker a peace agreement.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, on Wednesday, Djibouti said the targeting of civilians and infrastructure represents “a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and shared human values.”
“Djibouti reaffirms its firm position calling for the immediate cessation of hostilities, the protection of civilian lives, and the pursuit of dialogue and reason to preserve Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.”
Expressing solidarity with the Sudanese people, Djibouti also reaffirmed its support for regional and international efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace and stability in Sudan.
The statement comes as fighting in Sudan intensified this week, with the RSF reportedly seizing full control of El Fasher, the last major stronghold of the Sudanese Armed Forces in Darfur.
The takeover has been accompanied by reports of widespread violence against civilians, including attacks on hospitals and mass killings, prompting international concern over potential war crimes.
